What is
restorative yoga

Restorative yoga is the practice of stillness. Promoting the deepest level of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Soothing the effects of stress bringing the body into a restorative state. Allowing the body to heal unifying the heart, body, and mind.

Can beginners do restorative yoga?

Appropriate for all levels with a relaxing pace. Props, such as, bolsters, straps, blocks, and blankets are used to support a pose without strain or pain. Focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.

What is the difference between yin and restorative yoga?

Both styles use props heavily and hold postures for a longer period of time. Yin focuses on stretching your connective tissue using props to deepen or ease the stretch. Restorative focuses on the release of the mind-body tension bringing the nervous system into a state of healing. Using props to completely support the body in stillness and comfort.

Benefits of RESTORATIVE Yoga

Restorative yoga centers your parasympathetic nervous system — a network of nerves that relaxes your body after periods of stress or danger. Helping you recover quicker and recharge after having stressful experiences.

Placing your body on pause, a regular ongoing practice can:

Reduce stress and anxiety
Deeply relax the body and mind
Soothe the nervous system
Boost the immune system
Lower blood pressure
Reduce chronic pain
Help to build emotional awareness
